Protection from AbuseIf one party is being abused either physically or mentally by the other party the court can issue a restraining order call a PROTECTION FROM ABUSE. This order prevents the one party from abusing the other party. The court has a lot of range in issuing the order. Note: Many people abuse this order and attempt to make the other person look bad by filing this type of motion. The form to apply for a protection from abuse is here.
